CARP STOCKING
Canberra
Since taking over the complex in 2010 we have added Carp to both Canberra and Orrell, below are pictures of some of the Carp we have stocked into Canberra.
Carp that are caught around the 15lb mark from Orrell are being photographed, weighed and transferred into Canberra to increase the stock there, we are capping this off around 160 to 180 so they have plenty of room to grow on.
Orrell
Since 2010 with have stocked over 600 small carp from 2lb up to 10lb into Orrell to grow on, when they reach around 15lb the best looking Carp are then transferred into Canberra.
20 Scaley Mirrors were added in December 2020 average weight 5lb.
Already Carp we stocked at 4lb in Orrell in 2010 have been transferred over the last few years into Canberra and are being caught at over 30lb now.
Below we have added a few pictures of the different strain we have added, these include Dintons and VS Fisheries including 15 of the VS Harrow strain, a few of these already have grown on and been transferred into Canberra
